Mer-made Yarns

Mer-made (merino made washable) is a machine washable yarn. The DK weight yarn knits like a sport weight yarn at 6-7 sts per inch on size 3 needles and the fingering weight knits at 8-9 sts per inch on size 1.  The yarn is packaged in 4 ounce skeins with about 260 yards/skein for the DK weight and 360 yards/skein for the fingering weight. One skein of DK weight will make a pair of socks to fit a woman's foot up to shoe size 8. The fingering weight will make a larger sock.
While we are unable to spin machine washable yarn on our machinery, it is hand dyed and painted at our mill.  

Except for Cream and Black,  we're discontinuing our solid colors in favor of yarns with slight variations in color.  The original colors will remain available while supplies last.
