In the 100% wool yarn, this shawl is 41" X 51"

This is a good first lace project to try. Designed with a Wisconsin theme, it is knit from the bottom center up, and the number of "violets" (the Wisconsin state flower) increase as the stitches increase on either side. They are then surrounded by a wavy river and honey bees across the top. This is a small shawl, perfect for throwing around your shoulders while reading in bed.  Kits are available Natural Colored 100% Wool, or 100% Silk in Natural Cream, Sunrise (blue/pink/purple) and Blossom (yellow/green/blue). Beginning lace knitters should be aware that knitting with silk is a bit more difficult than with wool.  If you prefer a dyed color which isn't silk, this shawl requires two skeins of Blackberry Ridge Lace Weight Yarn.
