Test Gauge: 5.5-6 sts = 1 inch in Stockinette, 5 sts= 1 inch in Double Knit

This is a good project to introduce yourself to double knitting by making reversible mittens and a matching hat. Turn them inside out and the colors reverse!

To make both you will need 350 yards of sport weight yarn in one color and 300 of a contrasting color (the mitten cuffs are not double knit, and so use extra of only one color). Mittens are 8" around the palm, and hat is 22" or 24" around.
