Skill Level: Intermediate
Gauge: 5 sts = 1 inch
Made lengthwise, this pattern offers three different designs from which to choose, all with a center "scrunch" area to help it fit around the neck.
The top scarf is a simple lace pattern, the center scarf is a yarnover pattern used to make enlarged stitches, and the bottom scarf is a simple block pattern using knits and purls.
The finished size of the scarves can be adjusted by blocking, but they are generally about 5 - 6 inches wide and 48 inches long. Shown in our fingering weight 100% wool yarn, each scarf takes 1 skein (or a minimum of 300 yards) of yarn.
Due to the simple repeats in the pattern, these can be made in other weights of yarn, or made with more or fewer repeats to make the scarves smaller or larger - they are very easily customizable!
